We are Here to Help!
If you are feeling anxious or need to talk to someone, please contact:
VBS Counseling Center at 818.784.1414 or
VBS Clergy Department at clergy@vbs.org or 818.788.6000.
The Counseling Center is open and seeing clients via Zoom.
Volunteer Opportunities
If you would like to volunteer to help our community members with errands or outreach, please call 818.788.6000.
VBS Helping Hands
We’re putting a system together of volunteers to help those stuck at home who could use some help with shopping or picking up prescriptions. While we can’t guarantee to help everyone, if you fill out this form, maybe we can help out. If you want to volunteer to do some errands, let us know here.
Connected Conversations
Sometimes just hearing someone's voice can be comforting. If you'd appreciate regular phone calls with another VBS member, we can help you make the connection. This program matches VBS members of all ages based on their preferences. Partners are encouraged to call each other once a week for a casual chat. Fill out this form to get started.
VBS Food Bank
Our VBS Food Bank is open and operating. The Food Bank is in urgent need of donations, including canned soup, cereal bars and peanut butter. To make it very convenient to support our Food Bank needs, we have created an Amazon Wish List of items to order that can be delivered directly to VBS. We also have bins available to drop off items Mon-Thurs 7am-5pm and Fri-Sun 7am-3pm. For a complete list of items that are in need, click here.
So Healthy Together: Mental Health and Wellness
These uncertain times may be stressful; fear and anxiety can be overwhelming and cause strong emotions in adults and children. As we transition to online spaces, helping each other is more important than ever. Our So Healthy Together initiative was launched in order to form a strong VBS community to give support and healing to those who are in need.
