Shalom ECLC Parents,
I want to let you know how PROUD I am of the 7th-grade students for planning, designing, writing, and leading the Purim Mitzvah Day for the ECLC on Sunday. They designed two rotations with four stations each:

  1. Caring Connection - writing and decorating get-well cards for people in our community
  2. Packing Hygiene Kits for people in need
  3. Making chewing toys for dogs in shelters
  4. Seeding station - Planting seeds in biodegradable planters to give to family and friends

SCHOOL THIS SUNDAY, MARCH 12TH

Shalom ECLC Parents

I want to let you know how PROUD I am of the 7th-grade students for planning, designing, writing, and leading the Purim Mitzvah Day for the ECLC on Sunday.

They designed two rotations with four stations each:

  1. Caring Connection - writing and decorating get-well cards for people in our community
  2. Packing Hygiene Kits for people in need
  3. Making chewing toys for dogs in shelters
  4. Seeding station - Planting seeds in biodegradable planters to give to family and friends

The students were patient, helpful, and kind and took the time to explain to the younger students, especially the ones in the younger grades, what to do, and how special it is that they are doing Mitzvot in Purim.

We ended the day with a costume parade with the 7th graders as the judges. It was so much fun and provided another opportunity to highlight the class as leaders of the Purim Mitzvah Day program.

The 7th graders rose to the challenge and proved, primarily to themselves, that as a graduating class of the ECLC, they are the leaders of the school.

Also, our cooking Academy did their own Mitzvah by making Hamantaschen for the whole school (!), and the Tech Academy created wood Groggers using the wood laser cutter. The Art Academy made a woven basket for Mishloach Manot. It was another great week at the ECLC and a beginning of a new tradition!
