Yom HaShoah Commemoration Program
Sunday, May 5, 2024 • 27 Nisan 5784
5:00 PM - 6:30 PM
Founded in 2015, The JAC Trio honors classical and contemporary voices and celebrates their varied cultural traditions. Creating a juxtaposition of high energy syncopation and dark melancholy modes, three string players have joined forces to honor global music from every era. The JAC Trio is inspired by their diverse audiences, weaving together the multi-cultural threads of creativity for their musical innovation. The ensemble is led by Janice Mautner Markham, artist-in-residence of Holocaust Museum LA, along with violist Jennfer Wu and cellist Circe Diaz Gamero. Community Partners and venues include numerous synagogues throughout Southern California, Pico Union Project, Cafe Europa, Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music.
