High Holy Day Ticketing

We have already printed tickets for all VBS members.  Your tickets grant you access to VBS’s campus, and from there you can attend the service you have reserved seating for, or any service with open, unassigned seating.  All ticket holders will have a ticket printed with a name on it, and will be required to show photo ID with ticket upon entry (per holiday security protocol). We encourage members and their guests to check out any/all options that interest them! Please note: these are your ticket(s) for all of this High Holy Day season; as such, do not discard them until the holidays are over.

For questions regarding tickets, please call (818) 788-6000

About Our Services

We Welcome You To Join Us For 5785 High Holy Day Services

Main Services

We are thrilled to gather in our newly renovated Niznick Sanctuary for Main Services this year. These services are led by VBS Clergy – Rabbi Nolan Lebovitz, Rabbi Ed Feinstein, Rabbi Yael AranoffCantor Jacqueline Rafii and Cantor Phil Baron – with musical accompaniment by piano, guitar and a professional choir. Main Services include our traditional prayers, reading of the Torah and Rabbi's sermon.
Reserved seating is included with VBS Premier Membership. Please contact our Development Department for more information.

Traditional Services

Traditional Services offer a fuller rendition of the holiday prayers without musical accompaniment. Services are held in Sher Lopaty Chapel. These service offerings are officiated by VBS Clergy -  Rabbi Ed FeinsteinRabbi Yael Aranoff, and VBS Rabbinic Intern Avi Kushlan and led by members of our congregation. Traditional Services include more traditional liturgy and a Rabbi's sermon.

Sephardic Services

Sephardic Services are led by guest Sephardic Cantors and a Rabbi, offering traditional Sephardic melodies. This year, Sephardic Services are held in Malkin Burdorf Hall. Please refer to our service schedule for service times.

Family Services

Family Services welcome families with young children, led by VBS Rabbinic Intern Avi Kushlan and our Family Service Musicians. Tot Shofar is tailored to our littlest congregants – preschool-aged five and under – and their families, while B’Yachad is offered to elementary school-aged children and their families. These lively service options include singing and storytelling.
