Jared Skoff
Jared Skoff
Rabbinic Intern
Jared is excited to begin his 3rd year as a rabbinic intern at Valley Beth Shalom! He will be ordained in spring 2024 by the Ziegler School, where he studies as a Wexner Graduate Fellow. Jared spent the past decade working for Camp Ramah, where he served as National Program Director, and led Ramah Wisconsin's Tikvah program, supporting neurodiverse campers and young adults. He has also been a weekly on-air host and DJ at radio stations in St. Louis and Detroit. Multigenerational congregations like VBS are what made Jared want to become a rabbi - seeing people of all ages, who connect to Judaism in different ways, each finding their place in the same community. When he is not at work or school, he is either studying Yiddish, making recipes from the 2nd Ave Deli cookbook, or spending time with his wife Karen and their baby daughter Ana.
