BRING YOUR OWN GROGGERS

Bring a box of NOISY FOOD like pasta or rice to use as a GROGGER when we "BOO HAMAN!"  Then, donate the box to the VBS Food Bank! You can decorate your grogger however you'd like before Purim!

Tot Purim Celebration and Costume Parade • 5pm

A festive Purim celebration and costume parade for our littlest friends! Come in costume and bring your own grogger! Pizza dinner to follow (5:30-6:45pm). Registration is required for dinner.

Traditional Megillah Reading with Yossi • 6pm

Our Traditional Purim Service will be held in Schulweis Chapel and led by Yossi Dresner. This service will be available to stream via YouTube. Come early for pizza dinner (5:30-6:45pm). Registration is required for dinner.

Wicked Shpiel featuring VBS Youth Choir and Community Megillah Reading • 7pm

The Megillah comes to life in a Wicked way! Come dressed up in your favorite costume and sing along with our Purim performers. Come early for pizza dinner (5:30-6:45pm). Registration is required for dinner.

Participate in our annual Mishloach Manot gift giving mitzvah!

Our Purim custom is to send at least one Mishloach Manot to friends and neighbors with 2 or more types of goodies inside. VBS Mishloach Manot packages are our gift to you!

Valley Beth Shalom will gift every VBS Member Family, Teacher, Clergy and Staff person with a Mishloach Manot gift package! You can take part in fulfilling this Purim mitzvah by contributing to our Mishloach Manot campaign in honor and recognition of a person or a group that has made an impact on you.

For VBS Members only. Minimum donation available.

Reciprocate the mitzvah of Mishloach Manot

The 5 mitzvot of Purim include:

  1. Reading the Megillah
  2. Eating a Festive Meal
  3. Engaging in Silliness
  4. Giving Help to Those in Need (Matanot L'Evyonim)
  5. Giving Gifts to Friends and Neighbors (Mishloach Manot)
