Rabbi Scott Westle
Rabbi Scott Westle
High Holidays 2022 Family Services
Rabbi Scott Westle has been the rabbi-in-residence at Heschel Day School since 2014, the same year in which he received his ordination from the Ziegler School of Rabbinic Studies. As an undergraduate at San Diego State University, he earned a BA in International Security and Conflict Resolution. Scott moved to Los Angeles after studying in Jerusalem at the Pardes Institute in 2005, and has since worked for USY, Camp Ramah, and various Conservative Shuls. He has also created and curated a backyard minyan in the Pico/Robertson neighborhood, gathering young Jews from across LA for Kabbalat Shabbat and kosher potluck dinners. Scott was a founding board member of the Pico Union Project and currently sits on the board for Hillel 818. He is an eclectic reader, a fan of the (now) Los Angeles Chargers, and is endlessly in search of the best bagel in Los Angeles.
