Robin Dowds, MA

ECC Student and Family Support Coordinator

July 2024 marks Robin’s fifth year at VBS ECC. She is a dedicated educator with a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern California and a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Teaching from Lewis & Clark College. Robin is always on the lookout for cutting-edge early educational research and best practices, particularly in the area of neurodevelopmental differences and holistic teaching strategies that support all young learners. Currently, she is working towards credentialing as a DIRFloortime® Expert Trainer - an evidenced-based approach that supports young children who face a variety of emotional, sensory, regulatory, motor, learning, and developmental challenges.

Robin has over 20 years of preschool and kindergarten teaching experience in public, private, and international school settings and is the mother of two young boys. She is passionate about supporting families of young children and connecting them with knowledge and resources so they can thrive at home, school, and in the community. Her commitment to fostering a nurturing and inclusive environment for early learners is at the heart of her work at Valley Beth Shalom, and she looks forward to partnering with you and your family.
