Mitzvah Day 2015
Mitzvah Day at VBS: Sunday, November 1, 2015
SAVE THE DATE: MITZVAH DAY is coming!
Sunday, November 1, 9:30 am -12:30 pm at VBS.
Come join the entire VBS community as we gather together to do good. There's something for everyone from feeding the hungry, to making cards for the sick, a blood drive with Cedars Mobile Blood Unit and a book collection for Koreh LA. Each of the VBS Schools are collecting items for Mitzvah Day. Please check your school newsletters and remember to bring in your contributions!
To sign up to donate blood or to volunteer for Mitzvah Day, please contact Brooke Wirtschafter, Chesed Connection, bwirtschafter@vbs.org, (818) 530-4035.
Sisterhood Mitzvah Day Project: Shoes that Fit
WHAT IS THE SISTERHOOD SPONSORED MITZVAH DAY PROJECT? During the Month of October Sisterhood, in connection with Shoes That Fit, will be collecting NEW SNEAKERS for children at local Los Angeles Schools who are in need of shoes. We will be receiving a list of the specific needs from the school nurses (i.e. name, age and sneaker size of those most in need) which in turn we will use to assign to those who participate in the project.
WHAT IS SHOES THAT FIT? Shoes That Fit is a national organization that provides new shoes and clothing for school to children in need across the United States.
