Terry Wunder

Assistant Executive Director

Terry Wunder believes that Jewish community is best when it's co-created - when all of us are part of building an inclusive place of belonging. As Assistant Executive Director, Terry will focus on the day-to-day administration of the synagogue and overseeing the membership, communications, and administrative teams. He will support Executive Director Matthew Weintraub in the strategic growth and sustainability of VBS. Terry most recently served as the Director of Community Engagement at Temple Solel in San Diego. Terry currently serves on the Executive Board Committee of JPro, is a Wexner Field Fellow, and is the Advisory Board Chair of Lunar Collective, which empowers community building for Asian Jews. Terry has worked in Jewish non-profit organizations for 18 years and previously served as the Senior Program Director at Moishe House, Associate Director of the Center for Youth Engagement at Stephen Wise Temple, and Assistant Director at Camp Alonim. Terry began his Jewish journey in Albuquerque, New Mexico where he attended religious school at a bagel shop. Terry lives in Los Angeles with his wife Kristen, son Ozzy, and their fluffy dog, Boba.
