VBS Counseling Center
VBS Counseling Center offers private, confidential mental health counseling for individuals, couples and families.
VBS Counseling Center was established to fulfill a need in the community forty years ago. Its sustaining premise is that trained, experienced and dedicated volunteer counselors can help and guide individuals, couples and families through many of life’s challenges. Our trained counselors help solve a myriad of emotional and psychological issues, by offering wisdom, insight, education and creativity. The Center is committed to offering low fee treatment to our congregation and the community at large, regardless of ethnicity or religious affiliation. We treat all with dignity and respect, preserving confidentiality and following standards that insure quality service and professionalism.

GROUP FOR NEWLY SEPARATED AND DIVORCING
Discuss issues helping to get you through the first difficult months.
Monday evenings at 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. Led by Judie Cotton
WOMEN IN TRANSITION
Mondays 4:45 - 6:15 p.m. Led by Jan Dann
WIDOW/WIDOWER BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT GROUP
Mondays 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Facilitated by Barbara Weitzberg, LCSW and Gloria Siegel, counselor/para rabbinic.

SPECIAL MARRIAGE ENHANCEMENT COURSE
Provides an opportunity to place a marriage on solid ground by helping to prevent disruptions. This course will be of value, regardless of a couple's age, gender issues, religion, or the number of previous marriages. You are urged to spend a few hours investing in strengthening this most precious relationship. The course includes five 90 minute group sessions; the fee is $150 for the five-session course.
CAREGIVERS SUPPORT GROUP
A place to share the trials and rewards of taking care of a loved one. Led by Eileen Sudeck, LCSW, and Marcie Howard. Meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month from 12:30-2:00 p.m. For more information and to set up an interview, call (818) 784-1414.
All groups are $15.00 per session. All groups meet in the VBS Counseling Center, located on the first floor of Valley Beth Shalom. Group participants are pre-screened at VBS Counseling Center. Groups will be formed according to need. Contact the VBS Counseling Center at (818) 784-1414.
